Great little fic about one Imperial, Aswald Vorgartin, who accidentally makes a bet to give Darth Vader a Life Day gift. Vorgartin reasons that Vader would prefer the name of the Death Star destroyer.

Aswald actually manages to dig up information on Luke, and presents it to Vader.

Fantastic fic about swarmy Imperials, who present or sell, "objects confiscated from undesirables". Who very much believe in Imperial propaganda, even if they are afraid of Vader.

Starts out very cracky, but has a serious mix of therapy, why one should not go off meds, talk about possible abuse/ grooming, and Skywalker family dynamics. Reminds me of Wes Anderson humor, which blends funny, with a thread of tragedy/ sadness underneath.

This is a story in which Darth Vader does not seek redemption, nor does he convert his children to the Dark Side of the Force. Nevertheless, wars are fought in hearts and minds, as well as between the stars. The story is complete at just over 100k words, I will post new chapters at least once a week.

This is an interesting take on Leia Organa & Darth Vader. It also contains Tarkin death.

Leia does a display of the Force, Vader figures out Leia is his daughter, and makes the offer of "help me kill the Emperor". He also has her hair cut, and her declared executed.

It's an interesting take, in that Vader ends up letting her go, with her returning later.

I suspect that this fic might end with Empress Leia.

I have always felt that Vader handled that situation with Luke in Empire Strikes Back badly. Cutting off your son's hand does NOT show love. You couldn't have told him before fighting?

So, here, have a fic AU recommendation, where Vader pulls himself back from the situation, and has the very capable Peitt tell Luke first.

This story starts as a fun romp. Think Raffles meets Star Wars. Vader killed Kenobi when Luke was a baby, and took Luke. Luke at 18 is stealing for the Rebellion, and is friends with Leia. Leia is being trained by Asoka.

This story does start getting a bit dark about chapter 20, I think. There are some hints of darkness earlier, like in chapter 9....

His sleeve slipped down as he did; Luke's eyes found the little pink bracelet looped around his wrist, cluttered with mismatching yellow, green and magenta beads.

Piett followed his gaze. "These have saved a lot of lives as well," he said. "No one you've given a bracelet to has ever come to harm; Lord Vader won't touch them."

"It shouldn't be like that," Luke muttered. It... really wasn't great that the Empire allowed his father to get away with that. Friendship bracelets made by a nine year old should not be the only thing that stopped him.

Piett just grimaced, and didn't reply.

This is a deliciously twisted, dark fluff, (strangely hot) consensual Tim Drake/Ra's al Ghul fic. Tim is still the "good guy", Ra's al Ghul is still the bad guy, and they somehow manage to work in kisses (and sex) in between Ra's making plots for world take-over-age, and Tim spoiling said plots.

The third one, "It's Like Tag, Only With Drugs", reminds me of the sort of relationship Dr. Frankenstein and Frau Blucher must have had.

There are some spots where it's the correctly spelled word, but it's the wrong word. Not sure if the writer is dyslexic, or if it's that English is not their first language.

In any case, definitely recommend.

Another fic where Vader found Luke much earlier than in canon. Here Luke was only two when Vader found him, and killed the Lars. Great fic of Luke leaking a tiny bit of information to the rebels, (even though he's a loyal Imperialist), finding out Leia is his sister, wanting to protect her, even though his father said "no". Of course, if Luke has to go AWOL to protect Leia, well, he's going to do it.

It's a great fic so far, and I'm finding myself eagerly anticipating the weekly updates. I'm curious as to how ArrowAvenger will change canon, and how they will tie up this fic.


(Okay, I look at that user name in parenthesis, and wonder if this writer has also done Doctor Who fanfic. Must go look.)

Title: Third Wheel

Summary: It isn't quite a love triangle. For one thing, Clark's the only one romantic enough to even think the word 'love'. For another, Clark and Bruce would be beating the holy hell out of each other even without Lois' involvement. And if Lois was aware of the secrets they were keeping, she'd be beating the holy hell out of the both of them. Overall, Bruce's visit to Metropolis has been a mixed bag for everyone involved.
