Had the Acessa on Wednesday....
Dec. 2nd, 2016 07:07 pmI posted more to my FB than here. I'm more awake today than I was previously. (But man, these farts!)
Anyway.....
From November 30th, about 10 something pm....
Well, that was an experience.
My first time under anesthesia, and I don't even remember the face mask or the anesthesiologist asking me to count backwards. Then when I woke up, I vomited a lot. My stomach has finally settled. Earlier all I could have was the liquid of the chicken soup and tea. Was finally able to eat the rice and chicken a little while ago.
Haven't tried to eat any bean burritos yet.....
PS, the anesthesiologist said that next time, I need to have 'the light stuff.'
">So, yesterday, after the surgery, I was trying to get Dad to go pick up my pain pills. The pharmancy had sent me a text that my pills were ready. So I try to tell Dad, because I'm in a lot of pain. He keeps saying they won't be ready for an hour, and somehow he keeps hearing pharmancy as "windy" or "Wednesday". Finally had to show him the text that said they were ready.
I need some punchlines about how deaf Dad is......
Then at 2:07pm
">
Have discovered that I cannot sit for very long. Oh, well the doctor wanted me to walk around some, so maybe standing counts?
Because when I sit, one of my pokeholes is right at a sit-fold, so it sort of bugs it.
Funny little side note; Thursday, while I had my phone on the charger, it rang. Getting up with three pokeholes in the abdomen is not very easy. I was flailing my arms and legs like a bug on its back. I yelled at my dad to get my phone, but of course he didn't understand. (It was either the doctor's nurse or the surgery center calling, and of course I missed the call.)
I also realize that I didn't get enough applesauce, and I've run out. So I asked Dad to get more for me, but today he came back from the grocery store saying he couldn't find the juice I wanted. I gave him an empty packet for reference.... sigh.
I also asked Dad yesterday to pick up some chicken broth for me, because of my rocky stomach. He just got it today, and I've already mostly finished it off.
At least I'm cleared to return to outside Monday. (Though I think I'm taking that off just to be sure. I'll go back either Wednesday or Thursday.) I'm going to try to get some more to eat then.
And my pain isn't as bad as it was Wednesday. It's mostly achy now, I haven't had pain pill since this morning. So I'll try Tylenol, and see how that works.
Anyway.....
